Hi Guys,

This issue is so frustrating...

After building my perfect high end PC the following issue keeps reacquiring.

When starting a game or opening a VoIP program ( Skype/ discord/ etc. ) my volume is being lowered by around 30%.

I have checked forums and saw a lot of people having the same problem with an easy fix, changing the comm settings to do nothing.

Unfortunately this ''fix'' isn't working for me.

If someone can provide an solution it will be highly appreciated.

Also i'm unsure where I can see which current sound driver I have running for Windows 10 so i'm unable to link it.

P.s. English isn't my mother language so sorry for the typo's... 😉

Thanks in advance.

Solution

This seems to be a very common problem with USB mics (and regular ones too) as I think I see a new message here everyday with the same or similar problem.

Maybe trying some of the things in this message string might help you.

If not, write back and maybe someone else can help out. Also give the exact microphone you are using, brand name and model.
Hi, try this:

Right click on speaker icon in tray (near clock). Choose Playback devices. Right click on the default device and choose Properties. Click on the Enhancements tab. Check the box that says "Disable all sound effects" then press the OK button.
