So if I am playing music and in a game there is something that is fairly loud my musics volume gets turned down randomly. Even when tabbed out of the game and it not making any noise it still continuously fluctuations and it's really annoying.

Any idea how to fix this? I use to be able to fix this by just turning off the ability for programs to control it and set windows to do nothing under communications but it seems the Realtek driver has other plans when it comes to listening to Windows.

At first I thought it was just my ears getting use to my new headphones but when a bunch of enemies died at once causing a fairly loud death sound at once (low pitch) my music got suddenly quiet instead of being 4x louder than the game...

Hi,

Please do try some of these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstalling the sound card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the sound driver.
- Download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Once installed reboot your PC then test it.
- If these doesn't work do also try disable Audio Enhancements.
- Right click on your speaker icon and select Playback Devices.
- Right click on the default speaker and select Properties.
- Click on Enhancements tab and remove the check on Disable all enhancements.
- Click Apply and OK then test it again.
