Hello,
I recently purchased an ASUS VP228HE 21.5 inch 1080p 1ms TN.
But it doesn't look fine the texts are a little hard to read, the colors seems not nice and it's a little bright ( It's like white color is a cover on the monitor ), i tried switching to another modes in control panel, it got better but not nice. before this i had an 8 years old 20inch Fujitsu 1600X900 "VGA support", and my previous monitor was so better ( in color, text and every other thing except resolution ). and the other thing is in the monitor box there was only VGA cable not HDMI. I'm using PS4 HDMI cable and i tried 2 other hdmis and they didn't work ( the monitor says that HDMI input is ok but only black screen is displaying ) so i want to know is it a problem from HDMI cable, from monitor, from my computer or the TN panels are even worse than 8 years old monitor?

P.S: I have 1080 Armor and it doesn't support vga so i'm forced to use only hdmi.
Thank you for your time

What resolution is being detected? If you're displaying a non-native resolution, that may well be the problem.

Look under "display settings" and "resolution". Are you using 1920x1080?

What GPU are you using? Strange it's not detecting anything when connected via HDMI.,...

Thanks for your time. I checked it, it's 1920 X 1080 from "Display Setting" by right clicking on desktop ( win 10 )
My GPU is 1080 Armor MSI OC 8GB

Actually it's VP228H"E" I aint sure if 228H and 228HE are so different or not but i hope so, is it really that bad? my 8 years old monitor seems better than this 🙁

I have a laptop that looks much better

Just realized its 228HE. Not sure then.

Try the nVidia control panal, change resolution and enable RGB Full. If its greyed out try the option to use nvidia settings and try RGB full there as well. If it improves the image try 4:4:2 and 4:4:4.

Thank you for your time.
I tried RGB full and changing resolution to others, when the res is not 1080 it sucks so hard.
i even treid 442 and 444 and from my eyes they all are same.

since you have 228H, in your monitor are texts a little hard to read? or blurry i guess?
