With my Windows XP computer I connect to the office through a VPN connection without problems. Setting up VPN on the computer of a colleague, also running XP (and also continuously updated), I set up a VPN connection, but this is read-only - even when I use my own credentials. I carefulle examined all the
properties on the client side - there is absolutely no difference between the two setups, and yet...
Hope someone can help me; thanx in advance!

You're right of course; I should have provided more details.
Th VPN software is, on both sides, the built-in windows software. The server-firewall does not use mac-address filtering. On the client, I tried it with firewall disabled - same result.
I do hope someone can shed some light on this...

But if it is a rights issue, how come the same user (me) has read-write access from another system, using VPN in the exact same setup: from a small home network (well - as far as I can see, anyway; obviously there is a difference SOMEWHERE, but I just can't see it.) My username+password are readily accepted; I DO hope this means it's authenticated🙂
