[SOLVED] Wait for rx 6500 xt or buy rx 580 or gtx 1060 6gb?

Hey guys, i got a decent pc but no gpu, i got a r5 1500x, 16gb ddr4 3200mhz, but hd 7770 1gb :/ i found a deal for gtx 1060 6gb asus oc for 250euros, and rx 580 4gb 200e, and im thinking about rx 6500 xt but my mobo is pcie 3.0 (ab350m gaming 3) so what should i get?

Its not, but im thinking bout buying it when it comes out, but its pcie 4.0 x4, and my mobo is pcie 3.0 which is a pretty big bottleneck

Ignore that so-called bottleneck. It really doesn't work that way.

Tell that to the 4GB RX5500 which loses as much as half of its performance when hamstrung by PCIe 3.0x8 vs 4.0x8 in cases where 4GB of VRAM becomes an issue. With 3.0x4, the RX6500 will likely be worse in those types of situations.

The RX6500 may be slightly faster as long as you make absolutely certain you don't set a toe beyond 4GB of VRAM usage. Once you do, the frame rate dips will likely be more severe than an RX580 which has full 3.0x16 available for using system memory to swap things with or stream assets from.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with AMD's extreme BS cost-cutting on a $200 MSRP part and would reject the RX6500 on principle even if it performed decently. There is no excuse for the RX6500 "cost-cutting" features you can get on a $120 GTX750 or GT1030 .

Good points. I should have been clearer, in general, the bottleneck issue should be of little concern. In specific instances, it can matter.

And the fact that 6500 xt lacks hardware encoding is just mind blowing, i ordered a 1060 6gb tho
