Hi,

I seem to be having a problem with my desktop wallpaper...
it won't display and is just replaced with a plain
colour... it doesn't seem to matter whether I choose
*.jpeg or *.bmp files, either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

~Carmen

My wallpaper would not show either..... your active desktop may be
turned off as mine was. go to this sight
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and pick option # 16
actove desktop-enable/disable...... download the file and double click
to get it going. It worked for me. If you are running a virus scanner,
you may get a warning about it being a vbs script, tell it that it is
okay.
