Want a CPU that can deliver 40+fps with a GTX 660 on 768p

As the title suggest I am looking for a a CPU that can provide 40+fps.I will be playing on high-ultra settings(almost max).

Well he will need at least a decent CPU, at least for CPU intensive games. Depends on your budget.

max budget will be around 175$.I m currently looking at the Intel i3 4150 but will it be enough or are there any better option at that range?
I have a quad core q8400 which is causing a bottleneck in games like Witcher 3,Gta 5 as I m getting only 25-30 fps regardless of the graphics settings in both the games.
Note-I will be gaming at 1366x768p res.

If you want decent performance boost you need to get at least an i5-4460 which will require a motherboard (and most likely DDR3 ram, if yours is ddr2.)

I live in india so i5s costs much more than an i3.I am satisfied with 40-50 fps not much so will an i3 be enough for that?(I dont want to upgrade to amd because of the upgrade path)

Generally it would be some boost, but not enough, your gpu is as well weak, won't push those games to more than 40 fps most likely.

yeah a gtx 660 is a old gpu but not weak gpu for 768p imo
