I know a fair amount about desktops however this is my first custom build and I would like to know if anything could be changed or just generally made better. NOTE: I haven't added a graphics card as I have the MSI Radeon RX 470 (8GB). I appreciate all replies.

I cant see anyone needing 32gb outside of professional studio editing mate honestly.
That said IF you really want 32gb at least dont spend more than you need.
The trident Z I listed is 100 quid less than the ripjaw you had in your build.
At that price it is very very good value.

I left the z400 in but in all honesty its not a very good ssd.
Id spend 20 quid more & get an m2 socket crucial mx300 525gb personally.

Thank you for the reply. Do you have any recommendations for cases and fans?

The power supply was recommended to me.

The fan however was just for cooling the desktop since my room can get quite hot however it may have been a rookie mistake. I appreciate your response.

Id have gone with a ryzen 1600,yould save you a lot of money & perform the same for gaming with a rx 470 & better for anything else.

Nothing wrong with your build per-se - I assume 32gb of ram is work or video related becasue its totally unnecessary for a normal user ??

Youre spending too much on the psu & the case is a very very poor choice for what is an expensive high- end rig.

Drop to a g2 550/650 & spend the saving on a decent case like a fractal design r4/r5.

Your build tinkerd for with a better case. ( you are way overspending on that ram!)

I genuinely appreciate bot builds and your comments have really made me think. Thank you. I also understand that I'm over spending however I would like to have a lot more Ram than what is needed these days so I wouldn't need to change it. Once again thank you so much for the builds i'll be sure to investigate further.
