Hello All,

I am in a mood to build a mid cofig Pc coming Saturday(either from local store nearby or buying online and assembling myself). After going through some of the articles and suggestions by experts I have came up with a rig. But still not sure as to finalize it or not and not having much idea of few of the things properly I though of posting my config here, so that one who has experience can provide some insight and guide me to the right way.

Here my config.

1. Processor -> i5 - 6500(Rs 14500 - 211$)

2. Motherboard ->
a> Asus H170- pro (Rs 11500 - 168$)
b> MSI B150 - PcMate(Rs 10900 - 160$)
c> MSI H170Gaming M3(Rs12800 - 186$)
d> MSI L150M Bazooka(Rs 8300 - 120$)
e> MSI B150MPro(Rs 8400 - 122$)
f> MSI B150M Mortar(Rs 8500 - 123$)
Not much sure about the above mentioned MOBO, so I have posted all of them. I would be going with the MSI H170 Gaming M3, but would be good if others can suggest me on this, whether this is a correct choice or may be can go with lower once also??

3.Ram
a> Corsiar vengeance DDR4(2* 8GB)(Rs 8000 - 117$)
b> G. Skill RipJaws DDR4(2*8GB)(Rs 7600 - 110$)

4. Harddisk - WD 1TB Caviar Blue(WD10EALX/WD10E2EX) - (Rs 4210 - 62$)

5. SSD - Any 128GB SSD(Rs 2900 - 42$)

6. SMPS/PSU - CoolerMaster Thunder 500W(Rs 3588 - 52$)

7.Cabinet - Any compatible Cabinet by Coller MAster - (Rs 2500 - 37$)

8. Graphics Card -
a> Zotac GTX 750Ti 2GB GDDR5(Rs 10800 - 158$)
b> MSI GTX 750Ti 2GBGDDR5(Rs 10935 - 159$)
c> MSI TWIN FROZR GTX 750TiOc 2GB(Rs 12800 - 186$)
d> INNO3D GTX 9502GB GDDR5(Rs 13122 - 191$)

9. Monitor - BENQ 27 Inch 2760HS(15000 - 218$)

From the above config the most confusion is on the motherboard and the graphics card as you can see. But I may have missed out other things too. Please feel free to mention them if have configured it wrongly. The only thing I want is all of the components to get used fully and I dont want to waste any money on things that may seem extra. I will remove it if not needed.

BTW I am not a core fan of gaming but also not a simple casual gamer.I would be playing game often on weekends and by games it mean good games like NFS 2015, 2014, Battlefield, Crysis or other games that I havent played before but have heard them very often and so want to try them out:).

I would love to play games, watch movies, do my programming stuffs, etc etc. Also this is my first assembling of PC so please be gentle 😉 if I have unknowingly made some wring PC config Above. Thanks for your opinions in advance.

dont forget 2 extra 120mm fans for the front u want more air in than out

8. Graphics Card -
try to get a msi gtx 950

9. get a 24inch screen 27inch without 2k isn't that great also u will suffer less from washed out colours since you mentioned a tn based panel.
Sorry for asking, but what is your budget for this build? Also, the first thing that I could recommend you is to go for the Benq 27 Inch 2755HM, In my opinion is better that the one you selected. I'm going to get one for my new pc soon too.

Hi Johan...
The budget I am looking at is under 1000$ but also in the same time something that I can utilize to the fullest(even if it would exceed my budget by few more bucks..).

Well about the Benq 2755Hm(cost 22000 ~ 320$)...I see that it is 100$(Rs 7000 approx) more than the Benq 2760HS(15000 ~ 220$).(At least here). I can still go and check in the local store but not sure if it will differ much. But just to ask ..if it is 100$ more it is worth paying that much for that monitor?

I see here on line that the 2755 is 249$ that would be only approx 30 more than the one you wanted to buy. In my opinion is worth it because of the refresh and response rate. All this factors would affect the gaming purpose of the pc, otherwise you can just get a regular, cheaper monitor that would look the same to your eyes.

hmmmm...I seee..

What I am now thinking is ..first I will get the other parts and then according to my budget I will get the monitor....or else I can also go for 24inch(which should not be very small compared to 27 inch.).

Also you are saying that you are building a pc of your own soon...If you already know the config..can you share it with me...if you dont mind? May be your budget is high or low(no idea) but will be good to know.. :)

Thanks Superninja12...
What I am also thinking is getting the graphics board and SSD later(in about one month.)
Perhaps a better graphics card than 750 or 950. If that is the case will that mother board you suggested hold upto that. Or do i need anything extra to be added.....maybe...I am not sure...so would want your valuable advice on this...

.I just checked the SMPS and it really has good reviews all over...so I wil go for it....So if possible could you please point out a cabinet which in your opinion is really good...over the motherboard you choose.

bitfenix neos is a great case that i personally like but actually u can pick any case a case is a case
its better to get a SSD FIRST because you will install windows on it and it will boot up like lightning and games will load like lightning, you can add later a 1tb with ease. (120gb is enough for the first 2 months if u don't go crazy and add 5 triple a games)

Hmmm. Thats a really good idea...perhaps can wait for 1 month for HDD.. Though I am still curious about the mother question..that whether later adding good graphics card the motherboard will hold good?

This is my build. It's probably on a different budget. I went for this config because I already had my processor, so I had to build around it and I also wanted to go for a 32GB and 980 demanding water cooling at least on the CPU.

ok? nice build

Your build seems to be good.....perhaps in near future I will also be upgrading to something better...

Thanks both of you superninja and Johan

I have finally decided to go for this config

Processsor - I5 6500
Motherboard - Asus h170 gaming pro
Ram - Gskill rip jaws 8*2 GB
Psu - Seasonic s2ii 80+ 520w
Sdd - Samsung 120gb any series doent matter to me...
Monitor - benq ew2440l 24 inch monitor
HDD - WD 1 TB hard-disk
