I built my PC recently and i want to buy a WiFi adapter because i would like to move my pc upstairs. My router model is 5168N-010 my ISP is bell mts, i'm using ethernet at the moment and I have win10, i was wondering if this would work

That is likely your worst possible choice for a USB wifi adapter. Device like that are designed to be small and portable, mostly for devices like tablet or laptops that are moved around a lot.

They trade performance for the small size. They tend to have very low output power to save battery and have very small antenna.

When you are using it in a house something that is larger and runs on a USB cable...to get it away from the back of the computer...is better. You can use a USB cable on any adapter and it will likely help.

This is just a example of the type of device, this is rather old model there are many newer ones.

Unfortunately there is no way to predict how well any wifi will work. Some houses absorb large amounts of the signals. In those cases a powerline solution that uses the electrical wires in your house tend to work better.
