[SOLVED] Want to buy new ram and having trouble.

Hello! I have 2x8GB G. Skill ram the exact one you will see on the link https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-16gtzr and they are DIMM 2 so my question is, if i buy another 2x8GB the exact same model will they work find together? Thank you!

they might, they might not, if brought as a 4-pack they'll work, otherwise you'll be lucky or unlucky (and have to spend time fiddling with sub timings etc. )

Depends, if you have dual channel motherboard it will with condition that old ram should be on channel A, new RAM should be on channel B, dont mix sets on the same channel. If you have quad channel motherboard (X99, X299 or threaripper) there is a high chance that will result in BSOD.

No one will 'know' your pair of sets might work, someone else's might not, someone else might be able to make them work after hours of fiddling. It's the luck of the draw, no more, no less. Some boards might be more generous, some might be harsher.

1 stick of ram in package. Factory tested for working.
2 sticks of ram in package. Factory tested for working and working together.
4 sticks of ram in package. Factory tested for working and working together.

Nowhere in that is factory tested for seperate kits working together. It doesn't matter if same brand, same model, same color, speed, timings or otherwise identical ram kits, they are not factory tested for working together. So that makes you the tester. They may work, they may need adjustments to work, they may not work.

The only guarantee about mixing kits is there is no guarantee. It's totally pot-luck.
