CPU: i5-4570
MOBO: h87/b85
GPU: gtx 650/hd 7770
HDD: 1tb 7200rpm
RAM: 2×4gb 1600 mhz
PSU: 500w

Any advice on how to improve performance for gaming and watching HD videos? Any part can be swapped just shouldn't exceed total budget of above mentioned parts. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have two or three store so choose from depending on price of products I finally choose and delivery costs. I also thought to replace the i5-4570 with an i5-4440 or i3-4340 and save $30 with the first or $50 with the second and spend the savings on the GPU?

That would be a good idea definitely.

Here's a system I was able to put together but it's quite a bit over budget:

Case: Corsair Carbide 200R - R569
PSU: Corsair TX650 V2 - R1226
Motherboard: Asrock Z87 Pro 3 - R1564
CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i5-4670K - R2670
RAM: 8GB G.Skill Ares DDR3 1600 MHz 1.5V - R1020
HD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda ST 7200 RPM - R776
Optical: Lite On DVD Burner - R126
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 3X NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 - R3533

Total: R11551

Looks good but I'm not a hardcore gamer, looking to be able to play at 1080p(if not possible at leas 720p) with good frame rates. I am new to pc gaming, I'm used to ps3, but want to buy parts that are good for gaming and upgradeable in the future. Thanks for help.
