What are the disadvantages (or possible screw-ups) in using Mushkin Enhanced Redline 994206F Memory with a GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-Gaming G1 Motherboard?

Should be OK - I'd go 2x8GB vs this 4x4GB as it will be less stress on the MC (memory controller)

Huh. Thanks for the 2X8GB being better than 4X4GB knawledge. And if it's not to much trouble to ask, is this better than the previous memory I mentioned? [Trident Z] F4-3866C18Q-16GTZ

The 4x4GB link above goes to a set of Mushkin 2800/15 sticks, here you mention 4x4GB of GSkill TridentZ rated at 3866/18 - Once you go over 3600 there are very few sets of 2x8GB (hard to find 8GB sticks that can run that fast (at the moment 😉 there will be more coming), but GSkill has 3733, 4000 and 4133 in the TriZ lineup, believe Geil has a set of 4000 in their Dragon lineup
