Hello. Ive read a few other threads about the GTX980 and wanted to post my specs.

Will a GTX980 run OK considering the following?...

6GB DDR3 SDRAM @ 1600Mhz
Intel Core i7 930 @ 2.80Ghz overclocked to 3.36Ghz. Bloomfield Socket 1366 LGA
Motherboard: Alienware Model 04VWF2-A02 - PCI Express
Intel Chipset x58 Rev. 13
Southbridge Intel 82801 JR (ICH10R)
LCPIO - Fintek F71882F
Current GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5970 Dual Card
Power Supply is, most likely, 600w (I did a PSU calculator, entered in all my components, etc) The alienware PSU is impossible to get to

I have the full report from CPU-Z if interested. Please let me know!

Solution

It says it's bronze rated on it, it should be okay as long as it's not faulty.
Thank you. I know the CPU is a bit slow but just to be clear, the PSU and motherboard look good enough for it?

Yes, the computer is an Alienware Aurora from 2012 i think. Im not sure if its a "proper" PSU or not...i assume so?

Is it inside the case? A box type shape.
