[SOLVED] Want to replace HDD to SSD in sony vaio laptop

I have Sony Vaio SVE15133CN (year-2012-13) with intel i3-3120M @ 2.50Ghz processor. Laptop is very slow , so I want to replace HDD to SSD but I don't know which SSD will support by my laptop and max of how much size??I have shortlisted this one(Crucial BX500 240GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD (CT240BX500SSD1))

MX series is beyond my budget. I am using 500GB on HDD.

If you have 500GB of data on the hdd that's not going to fit on a 240GB ssd.

I want to fit this SSD in my 2.5 inch HDD slot(TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050) and make this HDD external.Will install new OS from SSD. Will I get any problem?Is it not possible??

Should work.

Should be fine just grab an enclosure for 5-10 dollars (in the USA anyway) and put the hdd in the enclosure. Though really 500gb doesn’t cost a lot more than 240gb at least here.
