Simply check Disk Health to see if there's any immediate problems. When there's no alerts, go to Error Scan and perform a quick scan. If that finds nothing, try the full length error scan. I've personally seen some drives get through the quick scan without any issues, but the longer scan finding numerous errors.
Are you aware of the built in checker in Windows? It's always worked for me. Just open an administrator command prompt and issue this command:
SFC /Scannow
CrystalDiskInfo I recommend you this program, simply if your hard disk is bad or good the program will show you, and CrystalDiskMark is a hard disk benchmark software of the same developer, all programs are free
Guys actually i was having a problem.....
When i start an app or any game on my pc my disk space spike up to 100% usage and every thing becomes laggy. So i saw a video on you tube
He showed be to disable "enableprefetcher"
I followed the same steps and know i see my pc is fine.
At present i want to just know that is there would be any future harm on pc after changing this setting ......
