So I have a prebuild and I just upgraded the ram and I was wanting to upgrade the mother board for a few reasons. 1- M.2 slots. 2- More RAM slots. 3- there is like no spare ports for RGB's or for a pump for a water cooler on my existing MOBO. So here are my questions.
1- Will I have to reset my PC and reinstall windows 10?
2- will I have any compatibility issues?

Here are my specs and and the MOBO im looking at buying is the MSI - MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS. And yes my case is big enough.

My PC specs
cpu- Intel i7-9700F
gpu- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti
ram- vengeance rgb pro 16gb 3200 MHz
motherboard- ASRock H310CM-IB
SSD- 250gb
HDD- 1tb

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
If your keeping the SSD you should not have to reset your pc. As far as compatibility, go to pcpartpicker.com select your motherboard, scroll down and on the left hand sign you should see an option for compatible parts. Hope this helps.
