Question Was I tricked? suspicious 3070ti listing on Ebay

Hi guys, I'm kinda new to the used GPU market but I've just bought a Asus Strix 3070ti off Ebay as the guy mentions that he had only used it as an e-GPU for 2 months.

I asked him why he wanted to sell it and his response was:
"I got it iMac egpu but found that card does not fully compatible for iMac drivers , had to upgrade"


About 2 days later, he has posted a very similar listing, again same Asus 3070ti GPU, same pictures and same description (Only thing different is the serial numbers for the GPU)

Is there something I should be suspicious of? I feel like its kinda uncanny for him to list it as only a 2 month e-GPU use, feels like he might have bought a bunch of 3070ti's for mining? (But I understand that Mined cards can be in better condition than others)

But I just wanted to get everyone's opinions since I am still in the return window

You bought a card used for mining. Hopefully it was very cheap. Good luck!

yup 100% it is a used mining card. i'd not buy any used gpu right now. whole world used markets are flooded with them since the crypto crash.

you'd be best to return it and buy something new from a reputable seller.
