Solution
wasabi mango....Does not sound of high quality at any cost. I would not buy a monitor from a new company as they need to get their reputation first, the first few people who buy those monitors are like the toys, just being used for a product newly released to the market, whom in which may provide feedback which the company might then act to improve in order to gain a better reputation.

I would only suggest these brands to you;
Samsung/Benq/Asus/AOC/DELL and Acer to extent.

hmm.. you might be right...btw i found some specs and info in ebay, it seems fine with reasonable price.. in fact price was highly competitive with other main brands products also quality was pretty fine. so i keep looking for review myself, if anyone has more info about this one, review would be greatly appreciated!

wasbi mango.. there are no reviews any where but i found e-bay seller according to them seems fine
price is definitely better than other korean monitors, im considering it myself
if any one has some information... a review would be appreciated

I was researching the Wasabi-Mango QHD277 myself (Couldn't find much). It's supposedly closely like the Yamakasi DS270, if not identical, which is better for looks but overclocks less compared to the Qnix, X-Star, etc. over in the Samsung PLS line-up. The Mango Pixel Perfect is goin for $289 right now on ebay which is a steal compared to the variant which is $60-100 more. I can live with less OC, it's not like OC is good for monitors anyway, especially if you want them to last a couple years. I ordered a Mango last night so I'll throw up a Youtube Video in a week, people like to know what they're gettin into.

Hi Guys,

I bought and received a Wasabi Mango yesterday and couldn't be more pleased. It looks great, was a great price and so far no dead pixels, backlight bleed or any other issue. 10/10 would buy again. The one thing I did notice is that the quality of the stand for the monitor isn't great, you cant tell by looking once its installed but before you install it you can definitely tell. I don't think theres any risk of it breaking or falling over, just wanted to point out that it looks pretty cheap before installed. The bezel isn't crazy thin but I think its very aesthetically pleasing. The 2560 looks amazing, colours are crisp and clear. There is no adjust menu as far as I can tell, just brightness and volume. Luckily when I ran it against a visual calibration it was already calibrated almost perfectly. For me this monitor works great, if you are picky about your settings, I wouldn't buy this one as the manual is all in Korean and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust anything besides brightness.

I bought a Wasabi Mango as well last week, and have written a full review:

It's an excellent monitor and I'd buy it again for sure. I don't know if it's overclockable but I'll find out soon!

I haven't viewed them side by side but the Qnix overclocks close to 120hz while the Wasabi maxes out at 69hz. Qnix is a Samsung panel, Wasabi is a LG panel. When I bought the Wasabi it was quite a bit cheaper then the Qnix for a Pixel Perfect version so I went that route but overclocking would've been nice. It is a great monitor though, I highly recommend either choice, Great crisp colours and the Wasabi has the glass like look with low reflection while the Qnix has the dull matte so that makes a difference in brightness.

I have one of these monitors and it is performing very well.. res is very clear.. Great screen..

I just bought the Wasabi Mango 27" Supreme and while it looks great, I've got two specific concerns.

1) The native mode reports 2560x1440 but it's only legible at 1920x1080 on DVI input. That's a major drawback.
2) The speakers are mounted on top, but rear-facing, meaning putting it on a desk is suboptimal. Who designs it that way?
3) The monitor doesn't declare it's HDCP ready, so streaming HD is a no-go.

I received my Wasabi Mango QHD275 Supreme yesterday. The screen is glossy (felt the need to mention this as no where else, not even product description explicitly states if it is glossy or matte)No dead pixels however there is a small area (maybe 1mm) in the upper right corner where some of the pixels are either slightly darker, or there is a bit of a smudge on the inside of the glass. The pixels are not dead as they react and change color and I inspected under a microscope, just a slight annoyance which is quite frankly only noticeable if you are looking for it.. There is a small amount of light bleed on the top of the panel when the lights are off and the screen is solid black. The blue is a bit strong on native 6500K and I needed to turn the blue gain down from 50 to 40 just to balance out the color correctly.

The base feels more sturdy than the Shimian QH270 alternative, of which I was comparing directly to (colleague has this and we did a side by side). The housing that the panel comes in is quite nice, though the little bumps near the bottom are a bit odd and the logo is ridiculously huge and in your face. I actually like the logo, but my coworkers feel differently. Whites are very white, blacks are very black. The speakers suck and sound incredibly metallic, but we don't buy these for the speakers, so who cares?

The On Screen Display (OSD) feels a bit cumbersome but does work, I noticed that it is much more responsive using the remote that the screen comes with. The PIP feels like a gimmick as if it were a bar TV and I don't ever see a use for this, unless I hook up a chromecast and decide to watch netflix in the bottom right of my screen while working on my main screen :).

An annoying little feature with Mac was I needed to force an EDID profile while using the mini display port to display port cable. This is unrelated to the monitor, however took a couple hours to figure out. This was necessary as the Mac was treating it natively as a TV and washing out colors really badly, over-sharpening everything, and pixelating some stuff. After forcing an EDID profile for RGB only, and then calibrating, the problem is fixed. Also tested the Dual DVI port, which works perfectly without intervention.

Would I recommend this screen? Absolutely. It's currently the cheapest on the market with a Display Port. Overall rating: 9/10

You need a dual DVI capable video card or adapter to receive full resolution. Regular DVI will yield only 1920x1080.

Old post, but if you're still considering the monitor I recently just bought one. It was only $240 from red-cap on ebay. While he is not the best seller based on forum reviews of people who have had problems, he consistently has the best prices. I ordered the pixel perfect version and it was only $8 more than the regular one. I did find one dead pixel and made a video to prove you can see it at a distance of 20in which is the distance they test the monitor at before shipping out. A refund has been promised and I did open an eBay case just to be sure. The monitor is great and I'd say the build quality is quite acceptable. Definitely no Apple or Dell quality, but still solid. Probably comparable to lower end Acers. Base is slightly more wobbly than I'd like, but not bad considering the price. Image is stunning compared to 1080p. It does take a bit of color calibration and usually comes with a yellow tint which you can fix for the most part.

just got this monitor. worried little bit first cuz it's monitor produced by not well known manufacturer.
however after carefully reviewing, i gave it shot and made my purchase thru ebay.
received it in a great condition and well-packed.
i couldn't notice any dead pixels, backlight bleed or any other issue. Great!

Could you please repost your review for wasabi mango. The link doesn't seem to be working anymore. I am planning on buying one. Thanks!

Who do you think is making "Samsung/Benq/Asus/AOC/DELL" monitors? These third party "companies" are usually being built in the same facilities by the same people. There are just not as much control on the product and definitely not as much support. BUT... If you wish to save a ton of money and use the same panel as the name brands, then go for it!

Let's be honest... it's not like there aren't horror stories about the name brand products as well. I have plenty a high end Dell, etc monitor failures to talk about. On the other hand, I have plenty of rave reviews for products like this. Take it as you will.
