I have had a bit of trouble with my new build PC as the system freezes or i get the blue screen with "watchdog timeout" what ever that is? This happens randomly but I have installed speccy and the temp seems to be around 60 degrees on tickover!! is that high and should i install another fan to the radiator?

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600x standard clock
CPU Cooler: uphere water cooled single fan
GPU: rx550 saphiire
Mobo: MSI B350 TOMAHAWK ATX
RAM: micron ballistic 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400
PSU: excelvan - 600W
2X 140mm system fans

thanks

I've had this problem before.. My case was that I was updating all my drivers through a program called 'Driver Easy' which is free and anti-virus free, i updated the timer and got a BSOD and didnt update it again. I updated it on the 27th of september when i rebuilt my PC and everything worked fine for some reason. Its a very strange driver. The watchdog timer isn't centered around your CPU temp at all mate.
Its quality doesn't match your other components, but that doesn't mean it's bad; it could also be the CPU or a driver. Are the BIOS and all drivers the latest version? If you are overclocking, then reset everything back to default values.

A CPU temperature issue should cause throttling; it shouldn't cause Clock Watchdog Timeout errors.

thanks for that . I am not overclocking and the bios was updated and I have just reset windows and seems ok as the crash has not happened yet. Windows is currently updating . Regarding component choice my options were very much dictated by my shallow pockets!

All's good now with the updates and all seems stable so far
