I'm looking to water cool my Sapphire R9 270x. At first I wasn't going to water cool, but my friend decided to do it so I'm going to do it with him. However I haven't been able to find a waterblock for a R9 270x yet. From what I've heard, it's just a rebranded 7870. Will a 7870 block fit on a Sapphire R9 270x? Is the Sapphire version different than a reference version?

im in the same boat mate, i want to water cool my asus 270 (overclocked to 270 x) but cant find any fittings any where, you might be able to use a cpu cooler the only problem with that is that the ram and everything dosent get cooled

the stock cooler only contacts the GPU anyway on that card so just get a block that covers the gpu and use stick on passive heat-sinks to the memory modules, just make sure a case fan is blowing over the PCB. Since your using a downgraded card I'd assume your not looking for a crazy over clock, hopefully just looking for ultra quiet, in that case this would work just fine. water block
