Question water pump not working

my water pump not running the water everything is connected. i dont understand what is the problem is.

Mb= asus rog maximus hero xi
Psu= phanteks revolt pro 1000watt
Pump= ek xres 140 d5 rgb pwm

Need more info than this. What other components in the loop? What is the loop order? Has the loop been primed and working before this or is this a new install?

the loop order is cpu to radiator to res/pump combo. i powered it on with an external psu corsair rm 750 to to see if it was the psu and to my surprise it worked with the corsair psu but when i go to connect to my phanteks revolt pro the pump does not get power at all, thats how much i figured out so far.

Sounds more like an issue with the PSU not liking to be jumped than the pump itself. I've seen that before and either use the external PSU to prime the loop and then get everything working and then hook up the system when it is ready to run.

yeah i thinking is an issue with the psu i may try a different psu and see if that fixes the issue thanks for the help.

You might also want to check the power connection. I have seen Molex plugs that don't engage the pins inside very well without securing the wiring to allow connectivity. This makes it seem like it should be working when fans and other items come on but the pump does not (assuming it uses Molex power; SATA power connections do not have this issue).
