WaveMaster IDE Cables

I just upgraded my case to a Cool Master Wave Master (link below).
After transferring all my components, the case became a jumble of
cables. The primary culprits were the flat cables for the floppy
drive, Live drive breakout box, DVD-+R, CD-R/RW, 2 IDE hard drives. I
decided to research the round IDE cables as an option. Several
questions came about during my research and I decided to post them
here.

The Wave Master case situates the Floppy drive and IDE hard drive
within close proximity to the IDE motherboard connectors. So the case
requires shorter IDE cable. The question becomes how much shorter?
Please let me know if anyone has a Wave Master and could give some
advice on this situation.

The second curiosity refers whether any quality difference exist
between the brand cables and generic ones. The price is almost double,
yet these things are cheap.

My third curiosity relates to finding some new face plates for my
DVDR, CDR, floppy. Black or aluminum would do. These items seem hard
to find on my internet searches. Most accessory products were the
adhesive variety which does appeal to me (link below). Does anybody
have any ideas for getting face plates in other colors than beige?

Can't offer you much Ferdie except I have the same case and when all was
said and done it was a jumble of wires. I did my best to reorganize and is
much neater now. Still not as tidy as I would have liked but I can live with
it.

Good luck...

I bought the wavemaster and carefully routed the PSU and other wires around
the side of the HDD/DVD housing & held them down with the insulated twist
ties from the grocer.
The extra HDD ribbon cable I folded and stuffed into the space between the
HDD and the DVD.
I bought a round shielded cable for the DVD/CD's and it also tied on the
side and out of the way.
The two front fans have clear access to the MB with one drive at the bottom
and the second at the top of the two fans.
