[SOLVED] WD 10EZEX that wont format

my 5 year old WD HDD 1TB 7200RPM won't format since I tried to repartition the drive.
After a while when I try to format it comes back with a 206 error code
I tried with both Win10 disk format and with my AOMEI SW and neither can get this done.

Is there any way to completely wipe the disk withpout using the wipe feature in the AOMEI sw as it will take weeks based on the speed I saw when I made an attempt to do this.

Am I just better off getting a new disk?

Weeks? No, it won;t take weeks for a 1TB HDD. Hours maybe if the system is slow or over loaded. But a full format never takes me more than an hour or so for my 1TB drives.
Have you tried W10 disk repair?

If Aomei was calculating weeks, I suspect the drive is having sector issues.
Seeing the SMART will confirm this. Please host the screenshot on an image sharing site and provide a link to it here for us plz.
