Is a TV USB port (5v 0.5amps) enough to power this external hard drive? I cannot find the power specifications for this drive.

I am looking for a external hard drive to watch movies from instead of a 16GB flash drive while hooked up to my Tv.

Hey boostinlsj. So from what I gather your TV has a USB 2.0 port. This should be sufficient enough since the drive is fully backwards compatible with the USB 2.0 port. You shouldn't experience any problems with it in terms of power consumption.
