As with any storage space, your actual fallback position is a good backup.

All drives are suspect, right out of the box.
This particular drive might last 5 more years, it might die as I write this.
And you can't fix 'clicking noise'.

If the drive recently started making a clicking noise that wasn't there before, I would look into making sure that any data on the drive that can't be easily replaced gets backed up to another drive as soon as possible, if it isn't already, as that could potentially be a sign of a failing drive. Do the clicks only happen when the drive is accessing files, or continuously, or at some other time?

Set win10 to safe boot on the next startup and shutdown.
Disconnect the data cable and boot to the bios. If it’s clicking there get an RMA.

If not clicking then shutdown and reconnect the data cable and boot to the bios again. - Clicking now then check for a mothered bios update.

Next, exit the bios and finish booting to safe mode. If clicking is gone then this is a software issue. Nzxt Cam software used to be a culprit but I suspect any utilities that constantly checks temps may also be checking smart and causing the click. I haven’t done any testing in this theory thou.
