Welcome to the TH Community, @Kelly!

If you are planning to use this secondary HDD of yours for gaming, then a WD Black is definitely going to give a better performance, since it's specifically optimized to deliver exactly that. Just like @USAFRet mentioned the 2 TB WD Blue versions are 5,400 RPM which might not give you the desired transfer rate, however, they are a great secondary storage solution for your massive data.
The 7,200 RPM WD Black is tuned for performance & gaming. One other feature that this drive has and other standard desktop HDDs don't, is the dual-core processor that allows the Black to to maximize even further the drive's performance. This particular drive is also backed by a 5-year limited warranty, whereas the...
Hello... I have used Blues to great success... there could be twice the cache, But I haven't seen anything huge in performance difference... Typically the blacks will have a longer warranty and include a fast RMA option for the business/server user needs... and attribute the extra cost to these reasons.

With the current model designations, you have to be careful.
Not just look at Blue or Black, butt also look at the RPM.
A 2TB WD Blue at 5400 RPM for $70 is NOT the same performance as a 2TB WD Black at 7200 for $122.

You have to look carefully at what you are buying.

i have never built a pc before and don'#t really know nothing about hard drives. all i have been told is black is better for gaming but is loud and expensive :/

No, they are not loud.
Yes, they are 'more expensive' than the Blue line.

No, you can't decide on a drive in isolation.
Given this statement - "i have never built a pc before and don'#t really know nothing about hard drives."
...may we have a glimpse of whatever else you have bought or are going to buy?

well, i have got, (at the top of my head) ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Motherboard, Intel Core I7-6700K Processor. ddr4 ram Corsair Vengeance, 16gb. i got a ssd, a 850w corsair psu, Cooler Master Hyper 212X CPU Cooler and i got a gtx 1080 to buy tomorrow. i got a dvd player/writer too

steam games, world of warcraft and some videos. won't be streaming or editing videos. its mainly a gaming pc.

i have got enough money in my budget for a 2tb wd black. just wanna make sure before i buy it i am making the right decision.

I'd strongly recommend checking all of the features of both WD drives on our website. Afterwards, you can decide for yourself what would suit you best! :)
