WD Enclosure with Hitachi HDD?

Hi, so recently i replaced the hard drive in my computer with an SSD, so i have a spare hitachi laptop hard drive, and my question is will this work in my currently dead WD hard drive enclosure? The hard drive is dead not the enclosure/sata port. I've tried this before and the drive didn't show up, maybe its because of the controller? But I'm not sure? I just don't want to mess up my perfectly good hitachi drive by putting it in this enclosure. Thanks (Its a WD5000h1cs-00)

Without trying it there is really no way to be sure if that drive will work with the enclosure you have. It would be safe to try. If it doesn't work you can always go with something like this. I ended up with a spare laptop drive recently and ordered one of these.
