I bought a WD My Passport 1TB external hard drive about a week ago.
The first one came defected but the second one was alright.
The defected one made a revving sound followed by a click and also it did not show up on my computer.
The new one is fine for now but I'm not sure. It was alright but today when I inserted it into my computer, it did the same thing. I tried different ports (the front, rear and also through a hub) and it didn't help.
I waited a minute and then reinserted it. It was alright then.
Is it a problem?
