WD My Passport - cannot access data

Hi everyone,

I have trouble accessing the data stored in my WD external drive. The explorer shows that the computer still recognized the drive but my data is nowhere to be found. Only an "autorun.inf" file is displayed.

Is there any proper solution for this problem besides formatting? Every kind idea is appreciated

Question 1, do you need the data "recovering"
Question 2, when you display the drive in "My Computer" how much space is used and free?

The details of my data were showed when I scanned for virus, so I believe that my data is still there. I think the drive just lost some specific file to display it.

It's a 465 GB type and 82.2 GB is used.

Okay, well on the upside, it looks like your data is still there,

Firstly, I would enable the view of hidden and system files within folder options,

If you still can't see then i would run a chkdsk
