WD purpel hard disk

Hi is it a good hard for gaming ? Better than red?
Unfortunately I bought one of these hards,

purple is for surveillance, good for writing without interruption. But it's a HDD, does very little for gaming.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that @13thmonkey is totally right. The WD Purple is not really suited for desktop usage or gaming. This particular WD HDD model is designed for 24/7 always-on high-definition security systems to ensure reliability and quality video play back. It's also a great upgrade for a DVR or NVR system. It could serve as a secondary storage drive, indeed, but the fact that it incorporates lower power consumption features, means that you might no get the best performance out of your gameplay.
