I have a 3gb internal WD red that became slow and unresponsive after power outage
and sometimes its not even detected by windows

it doesn't make any noises and smart WD scan shows healthy

but when I try to access it it will freeze the my computer explorer while trying to access it

error check freezes while cheking for errors
sometimes it shows up sometimes It doesnt

sometimes the folders load fast sometimes they load half way and other half takes forever to load.
accessing files is very long as well

what can be the issue ?

ok so I know when hard drive goes it usually starts making noises

this one doesn't make any abnormal noises on startup or otherwise

its starting smooth and does just normal crunching during access no needle bouncing no loud scratching or anything else out of ordinary

what does that mean

if it suffered a partial crash, your remaining time to access anything could be quite limited, so, get what data you value from it while you can, and refrain from any surface checks, detailed tests, etc...

If it is locking up when reading, that is NOT a good sign, short of perhaps testing WD's warranty claims, depending on it's age..
