Hi Everyone,
I bought the Western Digital WD Black™ SN850 1TB, PCIe Gen 4 SSD 7000MB/s R, 5300MB/s W, for Gaming & Content Creators, as an upgrade from my previous 128GB SATA SSD (m.2).
My Laptop is Dell G7 7588 :
M.2 Slot1x PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe M.2 slot (2280, M-key)
I am not getting the 7000MB/s R, 5300MB/s W speeds. From what I knew is that PCIe 3.0 has similar speeds to PCIe 4.0 should the difference be this much? As I am getting around 3500 MB/s R/W speeds only.
HwinInfo of PCIe slot
Crystal Report Benchmark
WD Dashboard
I've done most of the things I could like changing to AHCI in bios, updating the firmware of SSD and the payload is also 256 bytes.
One thing I am curious about is if it's possible to increase my link speed for my PCIe 3.0 slot in Hwininfo its currently set as 8.0GT/s but its maximum support is 16.0GT/s/
Two main questions on my mind now :

Two main questions on my mind now :
- Can I change the link speed and will that increase the performance
- Is it a software issue or is it related to the SSD itself, if it is I'll order a replacement.
