They are, vs a 14600K, they are almost 100 more here in UK for basically the same performance, but the 14600K is the big thorn in their side just because of pricing and the fact the issues with silicon degrading is gone (Helps if you know what you are doing too).There are other Ryzen CPUs as well. The 96/700X are extremely competitive with 14th Gen in gaming performance.




Both CPU's are excellent and great for high-refresh unless you own a 4090 - 5090.
I doubt many people with RX 7900 XT or above performance are using 1080P screens.
Both the Intel chip and AMD ones in the example I? have posted here can match each other almost always, one is cheaper up front but depending on use may cost more in electric, depending on how long you keep the CPU.
Then we factor motherboard cost, what else the person is using, today we have an excellent range to choose from both sides.
