Weak FPS with GTX 780

I have just upgraded from a gtx 660 to a gtx 780. I have used the Hitman absolution benchmark and got exactly the same fps as i did before (41 @ 1280x720). Default settings too. It doesn't make any sense.

Maybe its an installation error..but i followed the same steps as my last GPU.

8192 RAM
AMD FX 8150 8 core processor ~3.6ghz
Tx750 corsair power supply.
I am a pc noob so if you need more info ask away.

Make sure you don't have v-sync turned on.

Also, I'm assuming you installed the latest drivers?

If your psu has a set of wires split into two pcie power connectors, use only one of those then connect a separate pcie power line for the other slot.

You purchased a GTX 780 to play at 720p? What gives?

No to v-sync and yes to the latest drivers.

If your psu has a set of wires split into two pcie power connectors, use only one of those then connect a separate pcie power line for the other slot.

Ultra 1080p 34.3 fps

It needs 2 connectors, one an 8 (pin?) and one a six. It came with an adaptor to convert 2 x 6 into an 8 then plug a 6 straight from the PSU to the card.
