I have a budget of £2000, my student loan will be coming in on august and i am wanting to build a good workstation that will run fast and do a good job with what it needs to do. I will be learning to use lot's of programs from photoshop to after effects , so it will have to be a Nvidia card to utilize CUDA. Will two gtx Titan Blacks work well with adobe programs in sli or would it be a waste of money and would a 1100 watt power supply be able to run both of them plus the rest of the PC. I will have parts from the rig i currently use right now , so it's mainly just the CPU ,decent GPU'S and a 1150 motherboard, i was thinking about going for the new devils canyon i7 . Any suggestions would be much appreciated as this build is going to need to last me for many years to come.

Titan Blacks would be a waste for web development, one would work, though. For the CPU, the 4790K. That would be great. 2 Titan Blacks wouldn't do much for you.The 1100 Watt PSU is fine (a little bit overkill).

So i take it Adobe don't support SLI configs then with there programs ? , i guess it would be a waste of cash then if it wont support it. Thanks :)

Just like Andrew said, 2 titan blacks is a waste of money because they are for 3d rendering primarily. Just get gtx 780 or something along that line.

It probably does, but wouldn't make too much of a difference. I recommend getting one Titan Black and using the rest of the money on better RAM and an SSD or 2.

I'm pretty sure you would want to go with a Quadro or Tesla based card since they are designed more for what you would be using it for. Also a 1100 watt PSU might be a little much.

He has the 1100 Watt PSU already. You can't get too powerful of a Quadro for $1000.

No problem :) If any questions arise, feel free to ask. Good luck with university and I hope all goes well.
