[SOLVED] web pages wont scroll with arrow keys

my wife's lenovo think pad laptop has suddenly decided not to scroll web pages in the edge or chrome , i know it has been working ok because i use it web i dont want to switch on my games rig , if i press say the 2 arrow to scroll down it just print 22222222222 in the search box

What model laptop is it? Does the keyboard have a FN or function key? If so try to press this down while pressing the down arrow. Might also want to try to do any manufacturer updates. You can download Lenovo Vantage from the Microsoft Store and check for updates. Here is the link from Lenovo:

All sorted guys .... she is ill in bed so with the laptop on the bed at side of her i think she might have caught something by accident , it now works on arrow keys and the proper small page up/down keys at the bottom edge
