Webcam software advise

Hi

My Emachines E525 laptop has a built in Camera and i wanted to use it to Recode video

Please note: i am trying to recode a video using my laptop camera so i will save the video in my hard drive

so first issue the driver wont work after installing the camera driver the application start and close
no error

I tried manycams and other 3 software like easywebcam and so on and non of the would see webcam installed

I am not trying to chat or skye or anything i would love to have webcam working so i can recode the video and save it in my hard drive

what i need:

1- to get webcam working

2- Find a software that is able to recode a video and save it into the hard drive

As you are running Win 8, did you try the Camera App on the Start Screen? it has a Video Mode...

what cammera app ? did not noice that windows 8 has one ? do i get it from app store ?

That why i am here built camera in this laptop driver does not work and no update from emachines

Hi guys camera app is looking for built webcam driver and it cant see it as other software that i installed

Thanks but the is the option i want to use win 8 with this built in camera so my next question is let say i fix the issue with camera driver now what are some good strong softwares that i can use to make good qulaity videos a short one and long one

Run VLC, and on the Media Tab, choose Capture Device, your Webcam should be listed in Video Device Name

Is media tab after install or while i am installing ??? did not see choose Capture Device ?

also is there any univeral webcam software ?

Great URL i save it but again with no proper driver it wont see it unless i put a USB HD Webcam which i have but i really wanted to use the built in one

Ok guys after i installed VLC Player i can see where is the issue win 8 thinks that cammera is a USB cammera and not bult in so that why it is not able to turn it on

Not sure now what software to use and how to make win 8 think it is a webcam built in

hi guys so i give up in bulit in webcam but i got 2 HD webcam USB now and they are working so is there is any good software that allow recoding from 2 or 4 cameras in same time ??
