So my computer says that it's connected to the Internet. On Google Chrome, I can access google-owned websites like Youtube without any trouble. But I can't access any other websites when this happens. Meanwhile, Firefox doesn't work at all. Not even google-owned websites.
Restarting the computer seems to fix the problem temporarily ... but the problem always comes back. In fact, the respite I get after restarting the PC is becoming increasingly short-lived. Just today, the connection stopped literally only about two hours after I restarted the PC! I restarted it at 10AM in my time zone; it is now 12:30PM in my time zone, and I just had to restart the computer a few minutes ago because this happened again!
I can access youtube at least. So I looked up some videos that explain how to fix the problem. I've tried the fixes offered by these five videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbDkk-SRTx8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quzr5IVll6g
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvZuUzqJFtc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-acHUxUhyE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC47MNC9OXk
NONE of these fixes offer permanent solutions! They all require I restart the computer after I do the fix, but I can get a brief respite from this problem even if I just restart the computer without doing anything else! So the fixes themselves seem completely redundant!
How do I get this to stop, permanently?!
