Hey guys was wondering if there is a website where you can put in computer parts and it will give you the closest pre-built version of those specs. The reason is that i am building a computer and i would like to know how much i am saving from building the computer

Solution
There are places like cyberpower or ibuypower (don't forget there's like $100 shipping on those sites). Then there are more expenive boutique places like maingear, xotic, digital storm, and falcon northwest. And of course there's places you should stay away from like alienware. For anything but low end office pcs, you will save a couple hundred dollars.
No website like that. You can try to use the filters on Amazon, NewEgg or Tigerdirect for example to try and find something close.

Also be aware that building a computer is about more than just saving money, and in some cases (especially at the low end), it does not save any money. However, many of us like to build for the satisfaction, knowing how to troubleshoot it when it has issues, and being able to select the exact mix of parts we want, with total customization as the option.

yea i totally understand i wanted to build a computer at first just for the experience of making one but if saving money was an option i just thought it would be a bonus and it would help convince my dad to buy the parts lol
