Question Weird chassis fan noise ?

Hello, so i recently cleaned my pc, with airduster, after i was done and plugged in the pc again, i got some weird fan noise. Sounds like a motor/scrapping noise, but it’s not scratching.

The oil in the bearing has dried out.
You can oil it or replace the fan.

You'll want to take the fan out to inspect it for an oil hole, typically under the center sticker. You can use a fingernail to check for the depression. Some fans have a little rubber plug you can remove and drop a drop or two of oil in there. No more then 2 drops. Some fans just have a hole covered by the sticker. Some fans don't have a hole in which case you will just need a new fan.

Hello, i have the fan, without a hole in it. It's basically blocked behind the sticker.

Your fan has 2 stickers.
The pretty side that has the Aero logo and the back side against the case.
You will have to remove the fan to access it.
The back or exhaust side will have the hole for oiling the bearing.

Bearing dry out aside, you have the rear case fan and the cpu cooler fan fighting against each other.

The rear fan is set to exhaust, so that's fine as is. The fan on the cpu cooler should be switched.

I will probably switch it, the next month. Going to buy an rx 6800xt and a 850w power supply so will be pretty expensive, but thank you for your answers 😀

Also one more thing, leaving this, pc as it is, while in use won't hurt my other components right? Better to ask before buying my gpu and powersupply x)
