Weird CPU Usage

So yesterday I downloaded a file and it ended up being a virus, straight away deleted it & ran Avira & Malwarebytes over my whole hard drive. Now my system shows as clean but for some reason, I get a high CPU Usage on one core, then it jumps to another core, mostly around the 94-100% area with my system on idle. Usually it would be lower. I don't know if this is a bug but it seems extremely strange. The usage is kind of like spikes, sometimes it spreads to two cores, sometimes it uses one up to 100%, repeating im on idle and I've checked taskmanager for any unusual programs that might run/consume a lot of cpu power but to no avail. I'm running an FX 8350 and it has been working like a charm before.

Can you check the extended task manager either in processes or resource monitor for the offending program?

Found out it was a virus/registry problem, restored via restore point and it fixed it.
