I recently had to do a clean install of Windows 10 on this PC. It's a fairly old system, and I have had to buy a used motherboard to replace my last one. I did find a bent pin, but I bent it back, and I dont think it was anything that wasn't redundant. Everything worked fine (kinda I did have some MEIx64 errors but no hang ups like now) after I installed that mobo and reinstalled windows, then one day everything was super slow so I did a clean install. Fast forward to now, I keep getting an MEIx64 error 3 kind of around the same time. Around 2pm and again around 9pm. Specifically this :
"The description for Event ID 3 from source MEIx64 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
0x80002014
0x30650116
The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table"
I'll be watching youtube, or playing a game then my PC will hang for 30 seconds - 1 minute. Shutting down is weird too, because it will hang, and the spinning circle will stop for a bit and then my peripherals will turn off. Then it takes a bit more for the PC to completely shut off. Otherwise, it runs completely fine from what I can tell. I have no idea what to do. Checked for updates, ran sfc, DISM scans, installed optional updates, made sure my bios was up to date, checked health of my boot drive. Ran trouble shooters. Everything I could think of. While it's not THAT annoying, it is a bit concerning since I do not have the funds at the moment for a new system AT ALL. And I am not too keen on flashing BIOS, because I'll be honest, I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to tech and I will absolutely brick this MOBO.
Specs:
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-H110M-A
CPU: Intel i5-6500
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia 1050ti
RAM: 32 gigs DDR4 Ripjaws from G.Skill
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W
