So I got a new PC maybe 2 months ago now and I've had this strange issue for the past 2-3 weeks, where when my PC first starts up for the day, sometimes the graphics card is disabled and my whole computer is laggy as a result, second monitor doesn't display anything etc. I found a solution where I simply open device manager and have to re-enable my graphics card by right clicking on it and enabling it and everything is back to normal. Because of how simple and easy this solution has been, I haven't really bothered to look into it further however thought I should maybe try and figure out what's happening.

4080 Super GPU
7800X3D CPU
32GB RAM
B650M Motherboard
Windows 11

Any ideas as to why this may be happening or should I just leave it be since re-enabling the GPU works fine as a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a potential driver issue and Windows disabling it to recover. After it happens next time, before re-enabling it or doing anything else, look at Event Viewer for anything indicating an issue before the last shutdown.

Alright will update with the event viewer information next time it happens.

Thanks mate.

Not assuming or infering you don't know how to read them but realized I just did exactly what I complained about the Linux community doing, tell someone to do 'xyz' assuming the know what to do.

I've never actually shared mine so I don't even know if there is anything identifying since I only skim to what I'm look for. But if you need help understanding them, look for anything identifying, remove it, upload the rest somewhere and I'm sure someone here, whoever is on can help you sift through it
