Weird jitter w/ Gf2 ultra

Hi,

I recently built a new t-bird 900 system, and installed an Annihilator 2 Ultra and using a SyncMaster 950p monitor. I have nVidia's reference Detonator 3 drivers installed (6.31) and the proper driver for my monitor setup. In Quake 3, I get a good average, and fps regularly reaches over 250. However, the image, especially when I move, is NOT smooth, it jitters, but not like a slow-down jitter, looks more like it's not refreshing fast enough (I have my monitor set for optimal refresh, and running Q3 at 1024x768). I think this is not a problem with Q3, but rather my video card or my monitor, I experience the same problem in other games such as Unreal Tournament (even on singleplayer games, so it's not connection lag). I doubt it's a HD slow down either, since in Sandra 2000 I get a score of almost 25000 with my IBM Deskstar 75GXP. I had fewer FPS with my old p2-350 and voodoo2 card but at least it was much smoother! Please help me! I haven't been able to find anyone who could pinpoint my problem.

As well, I'm not quite sure what AGP Fast Writes are, and whether I should enable it or not in the BIOS (off by default), a definition would be great.

If neccessary, here are my system specs.
- Thunderbird 900, running regularly at 45C degrees max
- A7V, latest BIOS update 1004c, runs at 28C degrees max
- GeForce 2 Ultra - Creative Labs Annihilator 2 Ultra w/ 6.31 Detonator 3 drivers
- Samsung Syncmaster 950p monitor w/ boxed drivers
- IBM Deskstar 75GXP 30gig HD @7200RPM
- Asus 50x CD-ROM
- 256MB PC133 RAM
- SB Live! X-gamer 5.1 w/ boxed drivers

I'm using mostly boxed drivers because I don't have an Internet connection available yet.

try enabling V-sync. than set yer refresh rate to 100Hz. youll be limited to 100fps but you wont get image tearing
