Weird large connector on Case fans

The case fan 3 pin connector that I have set up to the right spot, has another connector coming off of it that has 4 slots labeled 1 2 3 4. They are led fans, and it doesnt seem they have a spot to go to. Anybody know?

I found the 140mm analog of the fan on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/YHS-fans-140mm-A1425M12S-BLUE-LED-/332080760232?rmvSB=true
The other 4-pin connector on that fan is a Molex connector, so that you can plug the fan directly into the power supply if your motherboard doesn't have (enough) headers for your fans. As long as the fan is functioning properly, you don't need to use it.
