So i have this leftover 256gb drive m2 2242 Toshiba KBG40ZNT256G and in disk management it shows as two regions and i can't format them a single unalocated space. I does not let me delete the other partitions to have a single unaloacated space.

Any chance to format it as a single 256gb partition on this drive?
I will be using this drive just as storage.

It was a boot drive with windows off a laptop. (but not the boot drive for my system - lol, it's pretty obvious you can't saw off the branch you are standing on)
Now it sits in my desktop on the spare m2 slot on mb

I've managed to clean all partitions with CMD diskpart and clean command. A fellow on reddit tipped me in the right direction

As for the image.. for me it works
as a summary it was a prinscreen from disk management showing
100mb EFI partition | 189gb unallocated | 509mb recovery partition | 48gb unallocated
and the regions of unalocated space were not connected because of recovery partition.

After diskpart clean it showed all 243GB unallocated space which i then formatted.
Problem solved.
