I have been playing this game for about 2 hours a day, and sometime the game just force closes/kills itself. This happens at least 2 or 3 times times daily and it really bothers me because it screws up the rest of my computer too. So once i restart it is fine, but this shouldnt be happening. Thanks for any replies.

p.s. i tried all of the obvious things like drivers, reinstalling, etc.

Hey good to hear. That sounds a lot like that dragon age issue I was talking about. Something weird was going on with the FPS cap and some cards were throwing crashes unless vsync was on.

It is only by word of mouth but I read that the beta doesn't have a FPS cap. Hopefully it keeps stable for you now.

Fatal, I think that is a common issue. Issues updating has made their bug list. They suggest trying to run the updater as admin.
Hmm, this recent time that it crashed i had a notification saying "windows graphics driver 192.21 kernel has stopped working" So it is a driver version, but i just installed the windows 7 64bit driver, what can i do?

And by the way guys, I think we should all buy ATI 5*** series cards and pick up 3 monitors and do eyefinity so that we can have a tactical advantage over everyone else we play.

Alright, we don't have to, but it would be sweet.

😱

no... we DO. 😀

I just got the 5770. it is pwnzorz. and I got my 22 inch... i just lack 2 more. but i aint got the whole $300 more to get 2 more so yeah... one will have to do for now.

Hmm, that is what I am running too. There is a way to get into a file and change the DX version to run BC2. Maybe you can try changing the DX version to see if you get more stability.

Tweaking – you can tweak a lot of individual settings yourself from the settings.ini file in your BC2beta folder found under your C:\Users\"You"\Documents\BFBC2Betafolder. Set things like the audio to high quality, increasing water detail, DirectX version to use, etc.
Manually changing from “DxVersion=auto” to “DxVersion=9” in your "settings.ini" file may dramatically improve frame rate for some users.

But my card is dx10, why would i change it to 9? and thank you, i will try that tmrw and tell you how it works. BTW, i have yet to play with you, seems you are never on at the same time as me.

Hey just trying to give you things to test out... I read where someone changed it to DX11 even though their card didn't support it and they got higher FPS....not sure what that was about.

I get on usually around 9 or 10 at night every night. When do you play?

Seems that everyone on out team is eastern besides me haha. Just a 1 hour difference though. One thing that still confuses me, is that if this is a driver issue, then why did it show up in this game and not any of the other games i play?

Guys, this problem has gotten way too bad. I think i am going to completely stop playing now. Playing for 10 minute intervals isnt worth it, sorry, ill be back on the game when it actually comes out or if i ever get this fixed.
