I have been playing this game for about 2 hours a day, and sometime the game just force closes/kills itself. This happens at least 2 or 3 times times daily and it really bothers me because it screws up the rest of my computer too. So once i restart it is fine, but this shouldnt be happening. Thanks for any replies.

p.s. i tried all of the obvious things like drivers, reinstalling, etc.

Solution
Hey good to hear. That sounds a lot like that dragon age issue I was talking about. Something weird was going on with the FPS cap and some cards were throwing crashes unless vsync was on.

It is only by word of mouth but I read that the beta doesn't have a FPS cap. Hopefully it keeps stable for you now.

Fatal, I think that is a common issue. Issues updating has made their bug list. They suggest trying to run the updater as admin.
Yea annis you heard me right, force vsync on. and spinach explained it for us. I guess my gpu was overheating. but the temps LOOKED fine when i was monitoring them. either way its fixed. and thanks everyone. The best answer goes to spinach.

Yeah actually I have the steam version and the normal download version. I fired it up and tried to update and it didn't want to go even when I selected run as admin. I hope all of this instability isn't going to show up in the final release....*gulp*

Uh Oh, i just reinstalled Win7 64x and i had to re enable vsync for it work decently... but my comp just restarted itself mid-game. this thread may not be over guys, lets see how it does tonight.

Im not exactly sure what psu i have atm. I know its a 650w, but i lost the box for it... Im pretty sure its antec or thermaltake. But this doesnt happen in any other games.
BTW fatal love ur sig hehe

I like the way you think.

I should point out that I had my first ever CTD while in game last night, I bet it has something to do with the beta patch they just released.

On the other hand, I am getting even better fps than ever (think 70-100 fps constantly) and the stupid water flickering issue is now gone.

Anyways I just hope I am not crashing left and right tonight.

Why stop at midnight...exactly. I am game for tonight. Grab your l33tsauce boys :na:

I still get a few CTDs but it is mostly when I am in some vehicle and get blown up.

Annis, I was three sheets last night so I wasn't on my A game. I am pretty sure at one point I was attacking a base with a tank long after the next one opened up. Am I still on the team?

What on earth are you talking about!?

Get your head in the game soldier, this aint not time for PTSD.

Just bring your guns, fully loaded.

Ah i missed the game last night? damn. One thing we need to get straight here, is that in any real tournaments we are in, absolutely no sniping on attacking team. I always do it now, but such a waste of the attacking teams spawns.

I agree. I hate the camping snipers. A person would be much more useful as a medic or an assault up with the squad. I try to stay away from squads that have a sniper sitting way the F back on the hill. What fun is it to sit in one spot the entire time anyway? Plus, the squads are small so you need all 4 there to make a solid run.

I like to be an attacking sniper when people are spamming the mounted guns but I have to get into the mix and be aggressive with the 1911 pistol :) . It is fun to sneak down the edges and pick people off as you come up behind the enemy base. I use this style in a game with fewer people so you can keep track of everyone, in larger games it is hard to sneak anywhere.

I will probably be on tonight but it might be a bit later.

Edit: Here you go guys. I just recorded this. Notice what my entire squad is doing...Needless to say...we didn't win.
