Weird problem with BC2 beta

I have been playing this game for about 2 hours a day, and sometime the game just force closes/kills itself. This happens at least 2 or 3 times times daily and it really bothers me because it screws up the rest of my computer too. So once i restart it is fine, but this shouldnt be happening. Thanks for any replies.

p.s. i tried all of the obvious things like drivers, reinstalling, etc.

I like to be an attacking sniper when people are spamming the mounted guns but I have to get into the mix and be aggressive with the 1911 pistol . It is fun to sneak down the edges and pick people off as you come up behind the enemy base. I use this style in a game with fewer people so you can keep track of everyone, in larger games it is hard to sneak anywhere.


I will probably be on tonight but it might be a bit later.

Guys, with the game coming out in a week or two, I think we should set some ground rules etc.

Like: What medium will we use for teamspeak, X-Fire, Steam, something I don't know about... ?

Will we have regularly scheduled matches ? Like every Saturday at 8 PM for example ???

Will we 'practice' at all, or are we too laid back for that.

What is the official clan name, and what should the tag be ?

Are we looking for more members, how many is too many ?

Is there a way to setup/purchase a clan server, how would we do this, would we even want to ?

Who will be what class, do we even need a engineer/sniper?



I have never been in a clan, but I look forward to being in this one, from what I can see you guys know what you are doing on the battlefield.

Yeah I agree. We need to plan.

Saturday at 8 might be little iffy but I like where you head is at. Also, there IS a squad rush mode which is 4v4. So would a server be needed? IDK how the last game was set up/ if we can all join the same party before a game. It never hurts to get a few more players who are willing to sit out/ sub-in. Blitzkrieg and [Bl1tZ] are what is on gamebattles.com..... so i think thats what we should use. I think we should absolutely practice as a clan. Preferably later at night. I am sure that the in-game teamspeak would work, however I would definitely support using a 3rd party program in case one of us crashes. Also, I say it would not hurt to have more than one match in a night.. This would greatly help us better our strategies..


ps. with the whole server thing, I think that we should wait to see how much we grow/ how we do. If it looks better getting a server/ website would not hurt at all.

Let me just say this, the times I can be on are:

Saturday - Anytime
Friday - midnight ( I work late on Fri.)
Tues, Thurs - Anytime after 5 PM
Mon. Wed - way too buisy, school and work.

My 'hours' in the summer will be much more accomodating, not to mention we can stay up way later.

I'd like to get games set up around all of our schedules.

Yeah I agree with most of that above. The beta is kind of a cluster F* with crashing and lack of mics but by the final release, we should start trying to organize at least one night a week to play a few rounds together.

My schedule usually has me available around 9 or so at night. I am pretty busy during the day on weekends so it will be harder for me to jump in a day game.

Annis and I were using steam the other night. I crashed but we could still chat so I think that came in pretty handy. I know not everyone is happy with Steam so I am cool with what ever works best with everyone. I tried xfire a while back and it seemed to work just fine. Same as what Annis said though...if there is something better that I don't know about, lets go for it.

Going back to the above, does anyone know costs of servers? Im thinking that it may be better if we could join forces with another clan to get a server for both... like a [blitz] and [xxxxx] server. I know I have seen it before on 2142 and it seemed kinda smart.

YOU CANNOT BE ON THE TEAM IF YOU DONT KNOW WHO MURDERFACE IS! hahaha im joking. and i come to toms, and have to read a full page of replies that took place right when i left haha. so yes Blitzkrieg and BL1Tz. my times are: weekdays anytime after 5 and before 1030 friday, most fridays anytime after 5 and sundays afteer 12 is fine.
Keep in mind that i am central time so you guys are on hour ahead of me.
also, today i am spending trying to find out what in the hell is wrong with my computer. stress tests and memtest for a couple hours, i may be on later.

I am telling you, your computer has every sign of a bad power supply, do you have a friend that you can borrow a high quality power supply with some good wattage to test out this theory ?

I consulted my emergency tech support friend lol i figured out that it was an unstable OC because of my shotty mobo. i really wanna shell out the cash for a really nice am2+ mobo screw am3.

It's my birthday today guys.

Nice match last night btw, too bad I had to get off early.

Anyways, we got the best squad pin once, and one round I managed to get over 20 thousand points and of course, the ace pin.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but one round, I was the gunner in an apache and I got about 25 kills from that. Needless to say, the pilot was amazing, and that helped alot. Does anybody know how to fly the apache, or want to learn ? I think it would make a killer tandem.
